Born in Sarajevo, Diana Jenkins (née Sanela Ćatić) was the eldest of two children in a middle-class Bosnian family.

During the war, her younger brother was killed, and she was forced to flee her home and spent more than a year in Croatia as a refugee before emigrating to London. She worked her way through college at London’s City University (she told the Telegraph newspaper that she “survived on a diet of Toblerone”).

Diana Jenkins is now living in Malibu with her family. She is the founder and CEO of Neuro Drinks and a creative partner and majority owner of Melissa Odabash. Diana blogs about human rights issues and is a human rights activist with a particular interest in international justice. She is also a philanthropist who has raised and donated many millions of dollars for a variety of causes including Haiti, Darfur, Bosnia, and AIDS research.

Sanela Diana Jenkins Foundation The Sanela Diana Jenkins Foundation was established in 2002 by Diana in memory of her 21-year-old brother, Irnis Ćatić, who was brutally killed by Serbians during the Bosnian war. The Foundation has supported more than 100 projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. more
