Humanitarian Projects

Within days of the devastating January 12, 2010 Haiti earthquake, Diana flew to Port-au-Prince with critical supplies and medical personnel, recognizing the immediacy of the humanitarian need and the rebuilding challenges the country faced. She established the Jenkins/Penn Haitian Relief Organization (J/P HRO) to provide relief for thousands of Haitians at the Pétionville Camp, one of the only options for life-saving shelter, food and medical care in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake. To date the camp has sheltered 50,000 Haitians who lost their homes and continues to provide ongoing medical care, education and community regeneration services for its residents.
