Elton John AIDS Foundation

A supporter of AIDS research, Diana Jenkins has organized and hosted many fund-raisers for the Elton John AIDS Foundation . On March 7, 2010, Diana Jenkins and Neuro , her line of active-lifestyle drinks, sponsored and co-chaired the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 7, 2010. The event raised $3.7 million for AIDS research. In October 2009, Diana co-hosted with Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon the launch of Project PEP in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Sanela Diana Jenkins Foundation for Bosnia

Jenkins has dedicated a large part of her attention back to her native land by establishing The Sanela Diana Jenkins Foundation for Bosnia in Memory of Irnis Ćatić. The Foundation, which is closely associated with the funding of the medical school at the University of Sarajevo, aims to provide financial support toward establishing Bosnian schools and orphanages.

HAITI: JP/HRO

The J/P Haitian Relief Organization is a registered non-profit charitable foundation established to help the people of Haiti recover from the devastating January 12, 2010 earthquake. In April 2010, J/P HRO was appointed camp manager of the Pétionville IDP camp by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). In December 2010 J/P HRO added Cite Maxo, a smaller IDP camp near Pétionville, to the camp management roster-raising the number of IDP’s under J/P HRO camp management to around 55,000. As of September 2011, because of our relocation program of camp residents, the population of the camp has shrunk to approx. 23,000.

ICC Forum — Human Rights & International Criminal Law

The Human Rights & International Criminal Law Online Forum is run by Professor Richard H. Steinberg of the Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project at the UCLA School of Law with the support of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. The purpose of the Forum is to allow members of the legal community, governments, academics, and others to debate complex issues of international criminal law faced by the Office of the Prosecutor in the course of its work at the ICC.

American Society of International Law (ASIL) 2011 Midyear Meeting and Research Forum

I support UCLA School of Law and founded the Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project at UCLA School of Law. The Project was one of the sponsors and organizers of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) 2011 Midyear Meeting and Research Forum, held on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the UCLA School of Law. The meeting is for legal practitioners, scholars, judges, and others interested in international law.

Sanela Diana Jenkins International Human Rights Speaker Series

In January through April 2011, the Program on Human Rights at Stanford University hosted the Sanela Diana Jenkins International Human Rights Speaker Series, a weekly series featuring presentations by leading scholars of human rights. The series comprised 10 high profile international and domestic human rights scholars, lawyers and activists who have made significant contributions to international justice, women and children’s rights, environmental rights and indigenous rights.
